Rick Kelly, FSA

Managing Partner

With nearly 20 years of experience, Rick has a successful record of running healthcare businesses and increasing earnings in different markets and positions.  He is a recognized industry professional quoted in many articles and an active participant in healthcare panel discussions. 

Prior to joining Progressive Benefit Solutions, Rick held several General Manager positions for Aetna in different geographies and across all customer segments.  His territories have included North and South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.  In these roles, he was responsible for managing all aspects of Aetna’s commercial business for its medical, pharmacy, dental, life, and disability products. 

Immediately preceding these roles, Rick was a Core Network Manager, responsible for Aetna’s provider risk contracting nationally and worked with local markets throughout the country on delivery system management and contract negotiations.  He has also been a local Network Manager based in the Tampa market.

Rick is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).  He is very active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, having served as a member of their National Volunteer Leadership Council as well as on the Board of Advisors for the North Carolina Chapter.
