Raleigh, NC – Progressive Benefit Solutions, a leader in employee benefits consulting located in Raleigh, has announced an acquisition of The Planning Group, Inc, based in Wilson.  This acquisition gives Progressive Benefit Solutions a greater presence in eastern North Carolina and adds to their already strong account management team, increasing the total staff to 20 employees.  The acquisition will close on or before July 1 of this year.

Rick Kelly to serve on oversight committee for Society of Actuaries study

Rick Kelly, Managing Partner, has been selected to serve on the oversight committee for the Society of Actuaries study:  The Cost of Medical Errors.  The primary objective of this study is to gauge the impact of preventable adverse events in hospital settings.

Lisa Elder, Account Manager, selected to be a member of the BAN wellness committee

The Benefit Advisors Network (BAN) Wellness and Population Health Management Committee welcomed Lisa Elder as their newest member in June.  The committee members are part of the BAN network and include BAN Medical Director, Dr. David Rearick.  The group has regularly scheduled conference calls and meetings to discuss a wide range of wellness topics and issues.
